Beta Care Services’ vision is to provide placements for children and young people with a level of support which maximises the chances of stability and successful outcomes. The Beta team, therefore, consists of Professional Carers, Social Workers, Admin and a Clinical Psychologist.
The focus of everyone involved in the placement process is the specific needs of each individual child or young person. Thestaff within Beta Care Services are proud of their record of stability in placements and the achievements made by the children and young people with whom they have worked, both currently and in the past.
Founded in summer 2012, we are a small family focused fostering agency working in partnership with local authorities across the Tees Valley to provide high-quality care, within resilient and loving homes, to local children and young people who are unable to live with their birth families.
From our very first day, we have worked tirelessly to maintain standards of excellence that we are delighted to report earned us an Ofsted rating for overall performance as ‘Good’ during our very first inspection just over a year later, in 2013. This was maintained with a further rating of 'Good' from our second inspection in 2018.
Our reputation with our partner local authorities is sound, and based upon our reliability, consistency, and the close attention with which we match young people to our foster carers. When we make a placement with you, you will be given all the information we have been provided with about the young people to help you to understand their needs and meet them.
We are proud to work with Aspire Psychological Services to make every effort to monitor and improve our young people's emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Every year, at Christmas time, we ask for nominations from our young people in order to donate to a local charity of their choice. The final decision is made at the Biscuit Barrel.
Previous recipients have included 'Heel and Toe' (supporting children with cerebral palsy and other physical difficulties), 'Rainbow Trust' (support families who have a child aged 0-18 years of age with a life threatening or terminal illness), 'Team Solan' (The Trust is a County Durham based non-profit charity aimed at providing help & support for families affected by cancer) and Bradley Lowery (Bradley was Diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on the 7th of January 2013. He went into remission but has relapsed)
In addition in March this year we made a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee for the East Africa Crisis Appeal. This was supported by our Foster Carers and Young People.
